Yes, some time has passed and I apologize for not being able to get some updates much earlier, but here it is. Let’s start with the most important news first: Annual Circle Meeting in the South of France from April 28 to May 1, 2005 Marlyse is in full swing planning and you will details enclosed; so get your calendars out and mark the date and please confirm because hotel space is scarce and needs to be taken care of soon. In the News section you will find some brief memories about the Budapest meeting and you can finally check out the photo section with pictures from Budapest and other events. Well, what else has happened recently? Petter and Angèlique got married in early September in a very careful and well-planned ceremony. Their favourite priest spoke to them for about an hour with the microphones off, but we were there as testimonies so they both finally said yes. Another indication of the rather intimate atmosphere was that the priest spoke fluent Latin which only a small minority could follow anyway; so maybe there not married after all…..? Well, they came out fine and the party lasted until the early morning hours. Thereby - we as almost silent bystanders - had the pleasure of discovering another Scandinavian trait: Their love to speak and give speeches. Intimate details about Petter´s childhood have been revealed before Elisabeth finally stunned us with her heart-warming speech. The happy couple left for some weeks of honeymoon to the Caribbean and are now back and well in their Brussels home. Of course the whole event has been meticulously documented and as soon as Jan figures out how to download the pictures we will post them on the site. The ceremony was like a small Circle meeting anyway because people from the even the remotest place of the planet flew in. We had the pleasure to chat with Bo and his extended family which was great, as well as Beatrice and Henning who could no escape his responsibility as testimony. Nathalie and Jos could only make for the church and reception whereas Johnson’s and Ganders as well as Ann Cathrin, Luis, Jan and myself stayed until the very end. Earlier the summer the “trio infernal” Jan, Luis and Oriol toured the interesting landscapes for Moldova and Ukraine. Rumours have it that soon afterwards the recent riots started which finally overthrew the government in Kiev…. Luis has been a wonderful host during San Fermin, where we saw the “corrida of the year” (five ears in total, though more than one bull – for those interested) and lots of party. Whereas Brussels keeps welcoming foreigners, Dirk has left the European capital. He is looking after his real estate business in London and works out of there. I am sure the airline industry and Eurostar will miss his dearly… This time I need to close on a rather sad note. As already communicated, I would like us to remember Nita who finally lost her struggle against her lethal illness in early fall; let’s keep her memory in our hearts. Wilfried
